  VIOLET I. METTS
  
    Mrs. Violet I. Metts, 77, 189 School Avenue, Jerome, died July 12,
  1979 at Memorial Hospital, Johnstown.
    Born April 27, 1902 in Confluence, she was a daughter of William
  Franklin and Mary (Tressler) Collier.
    She was preceded in death by parents; husband, Norman S., who died
  in 1948; three daughters; two sons; and a brother.
    She is survived by these children: Marion, wife of George Dedik,
  Boswell; Harold, married to the former Betty Vest, Boswell RD 2;
  Lewis, married to the former Betty Jean Howe, Belpre, Ohio; Betty,
  wife of Michael Parks, Jerome; 11 grandchildren; and three
  great-grandchildren.  She was a sister of Mrs. Elsie Speicher,
  Boswell; Mrs. Goldie Keyser, Herminie; Richard, Darragh.
    Friends were received at Joseph G. Hoffman Funeral Home, Boswell. 
  Funeral service was conducted at the Jerome Lutheran Church with the
  Rev. George A. Clark officiating.  Interment, Addison Cemetery.
