  ROBERT METZ
  
    Robert 'Buddy' Metz, 60, of RD 5 Craddock Road, Cresaptown, Md.,
  died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 1986, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland,
  Md.
    Born in Grantsville, Md. on Dec. 4, 1925, he was the son of the
  late Howard P. and Cora B. (Sweitzer) Metz.
    He was retired from Kelly Springfield Tire Company after 30 years
  of service.  He was a member of Rubber Worker's Union, Local 28;
  member and past president of Cresaptown Eagles, Aerie 2883 and past
  Scout Master of Boy Scout Troop 9.
    Surviving are his widow, Leola (Sheperd) Metz; four sons, Robert L.
  Metz, at home; Terry R. Metz, Cresaptown, Md.; Dennis K. Metz, Gilmore
  and Roger D. Metz, Arnold; one daughter, Debra Metz, Cresaptown, Md.;
  three brothers, James Metz, Mt. Lake Park, Md.; Blake Metz, St. James
  City, Fla. and Donald Metz, Cumberland, Md.; nine sisters, Mrs. Beulah
  Rexrode, Jessup, Md.; Mrs. Novella Femi, Cresaptown, Md.; Mrs. Anna
  McCollum, Salisbury; Mrs. Vianna Brown, Cumberland, Md.; Mrs. Helen
  Klingenbiel, Glen Burnie, Md.; Mrs. Mary Wagner, Rawlings; Mrs. Edna
  Gossett, Omaha, Neb.; Mrs. Ruth Maciolek, Trenton, N.J. and Mrs.
  Marlene Crowe, Coal Center; and 10 grandchildren.
    Friends were received at the George-Upchurch Funeral Home.
    Services were conducted at the Cresaptown United Methodist Church
  Saturday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Harold McClay.  Interment, Hillcrest
  Burial Park.
    Pallbearers were Broadwater, Sheridan Broadwater, Theodore 'Buck'
  Porter, Porter Llewellyn, Chief Lasher and Lee Chaney.
    Honorary pallbearers were nurses from the CPR and ICU staffs at
  Memorial Hospital.
