  ROBERT L. METZGAR

  Robert L. Metzgar, 80, Marts Road, Friedens, died May 18, 2004, at
  home.  Born Aug. 2, 1923, in Quemahoning Township, son of Homer and
  Rhea (Lease) Metzgar.  Preceded in death by parents; grandchildren:
  Colleen Metzgar and Dan Ackerman, and sister, Miriam Webster.
  Survived by his wife of 58 years, the former Ruby Hoffman and these
  children: Craig, married to the former Sally Hoyt, Belize, Central
  America, Kathleen, married to George Weaver, Raleigh, N.C., and Diane
  married to Patrick Morin, Somerset.  Also survived by four
  grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and
  sisters, Margaret Arnott, Taylor, Mich., and Linda Hillman, Beach
  Haven, N.J.  A 1941 graduate of Stoystown High School.  Retired dairy
  farmer and former employee of Walker Farm Service, Somerset.  No
  viewing.  Family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until service at
  noon on Friday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown.  Jane Metzgar
  officiating.  Interment at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of
  flowers, contributions may be given to the American Heart Assoc., 400
  Luray Ave., Johnstown, Pa. 15904.
