"Buzzy" Meyer, 86, of Davis Avenue, Somerset, died Sept. 20, 1993, in Somerset Hospital. Born July 29, 1907, in Spring Mills, Pa. Son of the late John H. and Besse (Stover) Meyer. Preceded in death by his wife, Mary Stoker Meyer; three sisters, Rebecca, Fay and Ruth, and brothers, Stover and Dean. Life member of the United Church of Christ. Member of the Somerset Masonic Lodge 358, F&AM; Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite of Harrisburg 32nd, Jaffa Temple of Altoona and Legion of Honor. Veteran of World War II and member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 554, Somerset; the Somerset American Legion Post 181, and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1801 in Somerset. Former owner and operator of Meyer Radiator Repair Shop on Shaffer Street. Survived by a number of nieces and nephews and a sister-in-law, Joyce Bruner Meyer. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home. Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in the United Church of Christ, the Rev. Glenn E. Sadler officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park. Body will lie in state in the church from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service. Daily American, September 21, 1993 [M1199]
