CHARLES E. MEYERS

  Charles E. Meyers, prominent and highly respected Upper Turkeyfoot Township 
farmer, expired at his home Tuesday evening, Dec. 7, following a lingering 
illness.  He had attained the age of 72 years, 6 months and 9 days.
  Surviving are his wife, Mary Sanner Meyers and the following children: Mrs. 
Ross Brougher, Richard and Oscar Meyers, all of Upper Turkeyfoot Township; Mrs. 
Irene Meyers, Uniontown, Pa.; Mrs. Arthur Henry, Fort Hill, Pa., and Mrs. Ralph 
Steyer of Mill Run, also seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.  One son, 
Eugene, preceded him in death.
  He was a son of the late Jonas and Lucy (Phillippi) Meyers, and is also 
survived by one brother and one sister, John Meyers of Upper Turkeyfoot Township 
and Mrs. John D. Sechler of Fort Hill.
  Funeral services were conducted Friday afternoon in the Mt. Union United 
Brethren Church, the pastor, J. R. Peterson, officiating.  Interment in the 
Somerset County Memorial Park.
