  MEYERS
  
  D. Jay Meyers, 56, of Meyersdale died July 16, 1975 in Meyersdale
  Community Hospital.  Born April 9, 1919 in Meyersdale, a son of
  Samuel J. and Ortha Meyers Meyers.  Survived by his mother, Mrs.
  Ortha Meyers; wife Betty Dwire Meyers, sons Thomas Jay and Frederick
  Lee; and a brother Leon F., all of Meyersdale.  He was a member and
  treasurer of Grace Brethren Church; member of Meyersdale Lions Club;
  was treasurer of the Somerset County Development Council; member of
  the Free and Accepted Masons of Meyersdale Lodge 554; Scottish Rite
  Consistory of Harrisburg; Meyersdale Development Council; and the
  Meyersdale Planning Commission.  He was a 20-year partner of the
  Konhaus-Meyers Insurance Agency of Meyersdale and the K.M.K. Agency
  of Cumberland Md.  Friends will be received at the Konhaus Funeral
  Home after 2 p.m. Thursday (today) until 12 noon Saturday when the
  remains will be taken to the Grace Brethren Church to lie in state
  until the time of funeral at 2 p.m.  The Rev. Robert Burns will
  officiate.  Interment Union Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations
  may be made to the Meyersdale Grace Brethren Church or the Meyersdale
  Community Hospital.
