Meyers, 55, of Somerset died June 26, 1987, at Conemaugh Valley Memorial Hospital, Johnstown. He was born Feb. 2, 1932, in Somerset Township, the son of the late Charles D. and Myrtle Mae (Stumbaugh) Meyers. Survived by his wife, the former Mary H. Stoy; daughter, Mrs. Kenneth W. (Linda) Miller of Somerset; and two granddaughters, Carrie Ann and Wendy Sue Miller; brother of Dewey M., of Somerset; sisters: Mrs. Thomas (Margaret) Winberry, LaGrange Park, Ill., and Hazel Meyers of Somerset. Retired employee of the Somerset School District and was a sergeant with the U.S. Army during Korean Conflict. Member of Somerset Church of the Brethren, Somerset Lodge #358 F.&A.M., Jaffa Temple, Altoona Consistory and Somerset Shrine Club, VFW Post #554 and American Legion Post #181. Friends were received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home where service will be held Monday (today) at 1 p.m., the Rev. Roger Forry officiating.
