He was born June 10, 1921, in Meyersdale, a son of the late Harry W. Meyers and Ethel (Walker) Meyers. He was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Strunk. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Barbara (Christner) Meyers; son Ronald H. Meyers and friend Sarah Jones; daughter Debbie, wife of Donald Elfvin; and grandchildren: Amy, wife of Tony Falvo; Ronald G. Meyers and Michael M. Meyers; and great-grandchildren: Abriana and Dominic Falvo. He was a veteran of WWII and a member of the American Legion and the Fraternal Order of the Moose. He was a retired farmer and carpenter and loved to hunt and fish. He was a lifelong member of the Meyersdale Church of the Brethren. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Friends were received at the M. Ray Leckemby Funeral Home, Saturday, where the funeral service was conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday with Rev. Pete Kaltenbaugh and Rev. Jay Christner officiating. Interment was in the Somerset Memorial Park. The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Meyersdale Church of the Brethren.
