Meyers, 91, of Hooversville RD 1, died Feb. 21, 1980, Maple Mountain Manor, Berlin. He was born Sept. 29, 1888 in Hooversville. Son of Emanuel and Lucinda (Barron) Meyers. He was preceded in death by parents; wife, the former Mary Elizabeth Jones; son, Edward; daughter, Bessie; and three sisters. He is survived by these children: William, Virginia Beach, Va.; Mrs. Curtis (Ruth) Hite, Pekin, Ill.; Mrs. Lawrence (Eleanor) Beegle, Friedens RD 2; Mrs. Felix (Margaret) Charles, Pinellas Park, Fla.; Mrs. Tony (Mildred) Temyer, Hooversville RD 1; 18 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. He was a brother of Mary Meyers and Mrs. Bertha Cameron, both of Johnstown; and Ernest Sparks, Nevada. He is a retired carpenter and member of Hooversville Volunteer Fire Department. Friends were received at the Deaner Funeral Home in Stoystown, where services were conducted with the Rev. Ronald C. Long officiating. Interment, P.O.S. of A Cemetery, Hooversville.
