He was about 76 yrs. old & was employed by William Yutzy as a teamster. Meyers had gone to the home of Norman Romesberg for milk & was hurrying home to talk with some relatives whom he had not seen for years. When he came to the railroad he found the track blocked by cars which were standing still. He started to crawl through under the cars, when the engine bumped the cars & started to push them down the track. His life was crushed out & his body was dragged for about 20 ft. Mr. Meyers was a widower. His wife & children were burned to death about 18 years ago. He leaves an aged sister, Susan Clark, with whom he was staying at the time. Funeral services will be held Thurs. afternoon at 2 o'clock conducted by Eld. D.K. Clapper. Interment will be made in the Ridgeview Cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, Mar 18, 1926
