  JOHN I. MEYERS
  
  John I. Meyers, 64, Somerset, passed on Aug. 17, 2004, at Somerset
  Hospital.  Born April 26, 1940, in Meyersdale, the son of the late
  William Meyers.  He is preceded in death by his father, stepfather
  Hamilton Pyle, and brother Paul Meyers.  He is survived by his wife of
  45 years, Patricia (Johnston) Meyers; children Johnny, married to
  Rebecca (Bennett) Meyers, Rockwood; Debra, married to John Ditzler,
  Somerset; and Michael (and fiancee Christine Dirienzo) Meyers,
  Lavansville; grandchildren David Ditzler, Christopher Meyers, and
  Robert Meyers; sisters Betty Alexander, Utah, and Shirley Wyant,
  Acosta; brother William Meyers, Ohio; and sister-in-law Shirley
  (Swindle) Meyers.  He was the owner of Meyers Auto Service in Somerset
  and enjoyed collecting model automobiles.  He attended St, Peter's
  Church in Somerset.  He will be missed by his beloved pet Tiffny.
  Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Miller
  Funeral Home, Somerset, where a vigil for the deceased will be held
  at 3:45 p.m.  A funeral Mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday at St.
  Peter's Church, Monsignor Samuel Tomaselli celebrant.
