LUCY MEYERS

  Mrs. Lucy Meyers, wife of Frank Meyers, died at her home, Barton, Md., after a 
very short illness, March 3, 1943, at the age of 72 years.  The cause of her 
death is not definitely known, and came very suddenly and unexpectedly.  She was 
a daughter of Samuel and Isabel Minkey Garletz and was born and reared at 
Avilton, Md.  She was well and favorably known in that vicinity, and also in the 
vicinity where she died.
  Mrs. Meyers is survived by many near relatives in Alleghany and Garrett 
County, Md., and also by some who have located elsewhere.  Among the near 
surviving relatives are four sons and four daughters.
  Funeral services were held at the family home, last Sunday afternoon at 2 
o'clock, and interment was in a cemetery not far from where the latter years of 
her life were spent.  Among the surviving relatives in attendance at the funeral 
from outside the neighborhood where Mrs. Meyers died, were Mr. and Mrs. Charles 
Wagner, brother-in-law and sister of the deceased, of Salisbury.
