Meyers, 88, of Rockwood RD 1, died Sept. 14, 1977, at the Berlin Home for the Aged. She was born Jan. 7, 1889, in Summit Township, a daughter of the late Irvin J. and Eliza A. (Walker) Walker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ward B. in 1950, and a daughter Mrs. J. Irvin (Dorothy) Gindlesperger in 1972. She is survived by the following children: Mrs. Theodore C. (Eleanor) Sipe, of Rockwood RD 1; and Mrs. Wilbur D. (Wilma) Miller, of Somerset, seven grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Milton J. (Edna) Brubaker, of Somerset, and I.B. Walker of West Chester. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, New Centerville, where she served as a Sunday School teacher, a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Lutheran Church, and also Lutheran Church Women. She was a charter member of Friends Grange, then a member of Milford Grange No. 1744, County, State and National Grange, and a member of Queen Victoria Rebekah Lodge No. 575 at Kingwood. Services were conducted at the Messiah Lutheran Church, New Centerville, with Rev. Gregory R. Pile officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park. The Republic, September 22, 1977 [M1276]
