  MEYERS
  
    Wilbert D. "Bud" Meyers, 71, of Edgewater, Md., died Nov. 8, 1997,
  at home of cancer after a brief illness.  Born April 29, 1926, in
  Kantner.  Preceded in death by father Robert Meyers.  Survived by
  mother, Anna (Arrick) Meyers; and five children: Carol Snoots and
  Robert Meyers, both of Edgewater, Md.; Donald Meyers, Harwood, Md.;
  Kimberly Meyers, Churchton, Md.; and Gloria Newman, Sunderland, Md.;
  14 grandchildren and one great-grandson.  Brother of Madeline
  Shaffer, Robert Meyers and Durelles Jock, all of Stoystown; Lorraine
  Spangler, Fredericksburg Pa.; and Richard Meyers, Somerset.  A WWII
  Veteran of the Normandy Battle.  Member of the American Legion Post
  226 in Edgewater.  An avid hunter and fisherman.  He also enjoyed
  watching Steelers games on television.  Services were held at the
  Veteran Cemetery on Crownsville, Md.
