Michaels, 94, of Fuller St., Somerset, died April 9, 1977, in Somerset Community Hospital. Born March 26, 1883 in Grantsville, Md., a son of the late David T. and Lydia (Durst) Michaels. Also preceded in death by daughter, Ida Grace. Survived by widow, the former Minnie E. Brown, and these children: Mrs. Freda Kieffer of Confluence; David T. of Meyersdale RD 4; Benjamin of Atlantic Islands, N.J.; Mrs. Ashton (Mary Jane) King of Friedens RD 1; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. He was a member and elder of St. Paul's Presbyterian Church. Member of Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers, F.O.E.; Somerset Sportsmens Association. He had retired from the B & O Railroad after 50 years of service. Friends will be received after 7 p.m. Monday in the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Carl Hull officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park. Daily American, April 11, 1977 [M1330]
