  Mary Ellen Michaels, 83, Berlin, formerly of Somerset, died June 25,
  1989, in Somerset Hospital.  Born April 16, 1906, in Johnstown,
  daughter of the late Frederick and Sarah (Handlin) Ewel.  Also
  preceded in death by husband, William; brothers, Fred and Frank; and
  sisters, Eva Rager and Martha.  Sister of: Mrs. Alice Miller,
  Somerset RD 6; Mrs. Emma Wilson, Somerset; and Robert D., DeLevan,
  N.Y.  Attended Samuels Lutheran Church.  Friends received 2-4 and 7-9
  p.m. Tuesday at Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, where service will be
  conducted Wednesday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Donald Knowles
  officiating.  Interment, Pine Lawn Memorial Gardens, Buffalo, N.Y.
