  MICKEL
  
  Ray Mickel, 68, of Markleton RD 1, died Oct. 23, 1988, in Somerset
  Community Hospital.  Born Aug. 9, 1920, in Helixville, Bedford
  County, a son of the late Hewey and Effie (Hinfon) Mickel.  Survived
  by Eldon of New Paris; also by friend and companion, Ethel Spiker,
  with whom he made his home for many years.  Also survived by two
  grandsons.  A veteran of World War II serving with the United States
  Army.  Member of Somerset V.F.W., Rockwood American Legion and Old
  Bethel Church.  Friends will be received in William J. Wood Funeral
  Home, Rockwood, Wednesday, 4-9 p.m., where services will be conducted
  Thursday at 1 p.m. with his pastor, the Rev. Douglas Baker
  officiating.  Interment to follow at Kingwood I.O.O.F. Cemetery. 
  Arrangements are under the direction of the William J. Wood Funeral
  Home, Rockwood, with Francis Brady supervising.
