Mickey, 83, died Wednesday, April 6, in E. M. Price Hospital, Confluence. Death was due to cerebral hemorrhage. He had been admitted to the hospital the previous Saturday. Mr. Mickey was born in Dawson and had been a resident of Confluence for 37 years, moving there from Connellsville. He was a retired Baltimore & Ohio conductor, a member of the Methodist church and the Brotherhood of Railway conductors. He was twice married. His first wife, Mrs. Cordia Ellen Youler Mickey, died in December 1926. He is survived by his second wife, Mrs. Margaret Debott Mickey, and the following children of the first marriage: Mrs. E. T. Hall, Mrs. Ray Knight, Mrs. Ray Hunter, Confluence; Mrs. Jacob Younkin of Mather; Mrs. Edna Shanks of Dover, Del.; Mrs. Ira Whipkey of Connellsville; also by 32 grandchildren, 28 great- grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday at 2:30 p.m., at the home with the Rev. Dr. Alden J. Allen officiating. Burial was made in Addison cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, April 14, 1949
