Born June 5, 1919, in Birmingham, Ala. Daughter of Dr. Leo O. and Anna (McVeigh) Woods. Preceded in death by parents; husband, John B., and sister, Peggy Williams. Survived by children: John Robert, Pittsburgh; James William, married to former Stefanie Petrisky, Duxbury, Mass., and Jeanie, married to Donald Murray, Hetlerville; grandchildren: Jennifer Vraca, Murchison, Australia; and Emily and Zachary Murray, Hetlerville; stepgrandchildren: Andrew and Nicholas Burchard, Duxbury, Mass.; stepmother, Lillian Woods, Birmingham, Ala.; half-sister, Jeanette Webster, Fayetteville, N.C., and special friend, Kirby Bilworth, Pittsburgh. Member of St. Clement Catholic Church, Johnstown; Johnstown Symphony Auxiliary; Cambria County Community Arts Center; Toastmasters and Southmont Shade Tree Commission. Was active with Talus Rock Girl Scout Council, Somerset County Meals on Wheels, and St. Vincent DePaul Soup Kitchen. Graduate of the College of William and Mary. Retired field director, Girl Scouts of America. Former gym teacher for St. Clement's. Friends received from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at John Henderson Co.
