    Katharine Elizabeth "Katie" Miles, 95, of Somerset died Aug. 16,
  1997, at Somerset Hospital.  Born Feb. 1, 1902, in Somerset. 
  Daughter of George Morris and Grace Elizabeth (Baldwin) Brant. 
  Preceded in death by parents; husband, Robert Ray Miles, who died
  Feb. 22, 1981; sister, Martha Gnagy-Wannamacher, and brothers, J.
  Steward and Kirk R. Brant.  Survived by a nephew, Jack M. Brant of
  Berlin.  Member of First United Methodist Church, American Legion
  Auxiliary of Post 181, Somerset, and Somerset Garden Club.  A 1920
  graduate of Somerset High School.  Bookkeeper for Somerset Trust Co.,
  retiring in 1954.  Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday
  at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, where services will be conducted
  at 10 a.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. Dr. Arthur J. Gotjen officiating. 
  Interment, Husband Cemetery.  Contributions may be made to the First
  United Methodist Church, 149 West Patriot St., Somerset, PA 15501.
