Millard of North Londonderry Township, Palmyra, Lebanon County, died March 25, 1996, and Palmyra Nursing Home. Son of the late John W. and Florence (LeVan) Millard. Survived by his wife, Adeleen M. (Schrock); two sons: John R. Millard, Greenville, S.C., and Gary L. Millard, Memphis, Tenn.; 4 grandchildren: John K. Millard, Greg E. Millard, Denise Millard and Kimberly Millard; a brother, Oscar Millard of Jacksonville, Fla., and a sister, Florence Gingell, wife of John Gingell, of Dallas. Navy veteran of World War II; was a Lieutenant J. G. Retired as a chief of field investigation of the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue from the Bureau of Liquid Fuel Tax, Harrisburg, with 27 years of service. Member of the First United Methodist Church, Palmyra, where he was an usher, on the stewardship commission and the administrative council. Graduate of Harrisburg Academy, and Gettysburg College where he received a bachelor of arts degree in economics and had also attended Duke University, Raleigh, N.C. Member of Gettysburg VFW Post 15, Gettysburg American Legion Post 202 and was a life member of the B.P.O.E. Lodge 1045, Gettysburg and also Lowther Manor Lodge 781, F&AM, Camp Hill. Friends will be received from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Thursday at the Rothermel Funeral Home Inc., 25 Pine St. Palmyra, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, with the Rev. William A. Garrett and the Rev. Daniel J. Schimmel, First United Methodist Church, Palmyra, officiating. Interment, Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, East Hanover Township, Lebanon County. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Parkinson's Foundation, 122 East 42nd St. Suite 2806, New York, N.Y., 10168 or to First United Methodist Church, 520 E.
