Miller, 93, of Vaneer Avenue, Somerset, died July 10, 1989, at Somerset Hospital. Born May 25, 1896, in Leisenring. Son of the late Grant and Sarah (Broderick) Miller. Also preceded in death two infant sons, four brothers and a sister. Survived by his wife of 61 years, the former Alice M. King. Also survived by these children: Mrs. Roy (Martha Jane) Tressler, Somerset RD 1; Mrs. J. Lloyd (Freda) McClintock, Rockwood RD 1; Mrs. Armond (Velma) Liberatore, Niles, Ohio; Austin B., Satellite Beach, Fla.; Samuel G., Pensacola, Fla.; Paul, Sugar Land, Tx.; Mrs. Edward (Betty) Chonko, Somerset RD 6; and Clyde, Richmond, Texas. Also 25 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren, and seven great-step-grandchildren. Brother of Mrs. Ora Palmer, Rebecca Manor in Johnstown; Mrs. Bertha Pennington, Murrysville; Mrs. Elizabeth Cochrun, Southington, Ohio; and Grant Miller, Smithville, Tenn. He was a coal worker and retired from General Refractories Clay Mines at Fort Hill. World War I veteran of the U.S. Army and member of Old Bethel Church of God. Friends received 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home, where funeral service is 2 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Douglas Baker officiating.
