Miller, 81, of Garrett St., Somerset, Pa. passed away Feb. 5, 2001 at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born Oct. 4, 1919 in Jefferson Township. Son of the late Lloyd and Olive (Sleasman) Miller. Preceded in death by parents, first wife Lilia (Thornburg) Miller, a brother Ernest and sister Ethel Walker. Survived by his second wife Irene (Knepper) Coughenour Miller, a daughter Denise Letterman of Pittsburgh, and a granddaughter Jennifer. Brother of George Miller, Laurel Run Road, Somerset. Also survived by Dennis Miller of Somerset. Formerly employed by the Ray Brooks Co. Later years was a self-employed logging equipment dealer. World War II veteran of the United States Air Force. Member of Somerset Lodge 358 F.&A.M Pittsburgh Consistory and the Syria Shrine, and Calvary United Methodist Church, Somerset. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home, Somerset, where funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Rev. Ray Lyon officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park, followed by graveside military rites. Memorial contributions may be given to Calvary United Methodist Church.
