"Boomer" Miller, 78, of 6410 Bass Highway, St. Cloud, Fla., formerly of Shade Township, Stoystown RD 2, died Oct. 19, 1983, at Humana Hospital, Kissimmee, Fla. Born May 9, 1905, in Stonycreek Township, son of David and Viola (Grove) Miller. Preceded in death by parents; daughter, Lucille Bowers; sister, Ethel Manges. Survived by his wife, the former Ada Pebley, whom he married Sept. 26, 1926; and these children: Paul G., married to Rachel Shaffer, Windber; Mrs. Ward (Wilma) Houpt, Hollsopple RD 1; Mrs. Donald (Shirley) Rauch, Bethlehem; Mrs. Robert (Lois) Axtell, Anaheim, Calif.; Glenn, married to Carol Miller, Phoenix, Ariz.; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandsons. Retired farmer. Shade-Central City School District bus driver for 36 years. He was a former member of Somerset Farm Bureau Board of Directors. Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, the Rev. Woodrow J. Klinger.
