Born June 2, 1914, in Stonycreek Township, son of Oscar and Lydia (Engle) Miller. Preceded in death by his parents; a son Richard, who died in 1961; and two sisters, Mary Ellen and Mrs. Marie DeVore. Survived by his wife, the former Helen P. Custer; and these children: Mrs. Jerry (Linda) Eisler, Somerset; Gary, Rockwood RD 1; Dean, Berlin RD 1; Donald W., Stoystown RD 3; Mrs. Raymond (Debbie) Weber, Somerset; Mrs. Keith (Kathy) Rhoads, Stoystown RD 3; Mrs. Keith (Donna) Kimmel, Somerset; Sharon and Mark, both at home; 11 grandchildren. Also two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Walker, Somerset; and Mrs. David (Polly) Sumney, Bentleyville. He was a member of Unity (Glade) United Church of Christ. He was a farmer most of his life and was retired from the Coleman Company. Friends will be received from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday (today) at the Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home where services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, the Rev. Walter B. Martin officiating.
