(Slim) Miller, 91, Rose Hill Road, Rockwood, went to be with his Lord Aug. 11, 2001 at Somerset Hospital. Born Aug. 27, 1909 in Middlecreek Twp., son of the late John and Amanda (Cramer) Miller. Preceded in death by his parents; a daughter Lucille Louise Miller and a son Harvey Freet; brothers Willet, Jesse and Harry Miller; sisters Fanny Kuhlman, Mary Henry, Barbara Leslie, and Irene Miller. Survived by his wife of 69 years, the former Melva Jean Fisher; daughters Mrs. James (Margaret) Weaver, and Wilma Grimes, both of Rockwood; a son George Rusty Miller, married to Lois Foresman, Lafayette, Ind.; other children, Chuck Stillwagon, Markleton, and Marlene Jones, Rockwood; grandchildren, Marcie Atkinson, Margo Zur, Cathy Brewer, Richard (Corky) Grimes, Leslie Harne, Jaci Meyers, Marc and Jay Miller; 13 great-grandchildren; Kala Atkinson, Mariah and Rebecca (Little Red) Zur, Alec and Benjamin Brewer, Jeremy and Daniel Grimes, Ariahma, Tia and Olivia Harne, Seth, Briannna, and Duncan T. Miller. Brother of Frank Miller of Rockwood, Ben Miller of Lavansville and Martha Lambert of Ohio. Member of New Centerville Church of God. He was a timberman, farmer, and retired from American Bridge Co., Ambridge. He was an avid sportsman who loved to hunt and fish and a noted beverage maker. Friends were received Sunday and will be received Monday until time of funeral service at 2 p.m., at the Miller Funeral Home, Somerset. Rev. Tim Show officiating. Interment Nebo Cemetery.
