Miller, 60, passed away at his home at Smicksburg, Pa., Indiana County, Thursday. He was born in Pittsburgh April 8, 1920. Ardent labor leader in western Pennsylvania, was presently serving his third three-year term as business manager of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 66, Monroeville, Pa., covering the 33 counties of western Pa. and three counties of eastern Ohio. Mr. Miller was past president of the local for six years, from 1966 through Aug. 1972. He held the elected office as fifth vice president of the general executive board of the IUOE, in Washington, D.C., and was a past member on the international board of trustees. Served on the Allegheny County Labor Council Executive Board and was a member of the Top 10 Press Old Newsboy Fundraisers for Crippled Childrens Hospital in Pittsburgh. Donations can be made to the Crippled Childrens Hospital Fund, Press Old Newsboy Fund, Pittsburgh. Visitations Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Piper Funeral Home, Punxsutawney, Pa.; and the Sampson Funeral Home, 537 N.
