  DELLA (BENDER) MILLER 
  July 15, 1913 
  March 13, 2004
  
    Della (Bender) Miller was born on July 15, 1913, near Salisbury.
  She was a daughter of the late Christian W. and Ida (Hershberger)
  Bender.  She died in her home in Grantsville, Md.; on Saturday, March
  13, 2004, at the age of 90 years, 7 months and 27 days.
    In her youth, she confessed Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, was
  baptized upon confession of her faith, became a member of the
  Conservative Mennonite Church, and continued faithfully in that
  fellowship until her death.
    She was married to Ivan J. Miller on May 28, 1931. At the time of
  his death in 1989, they had shared in a marriage of 58 years.  During
  most of those years, they worked together on their farm, and she
  served in the role of a pastor's wife and frequently accompanied her
  minister husband when he served throughout the country as teacher,
  evangelist and revival preacher, consultant in matters of church
  policy, and in administrative ministries throughout the
  denominational conference.  She will be remembered as a business
  leader in the community, as the co-founder and operator of The
  Casselman Restaurant and Inn and Casselman Ventures in Grantsville.
    In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in
  death by a son, Timothy, a son-in-law, Roy Yoder, one
  great-grandchild, four brothers and two sisters.
    Della is survived by nine children: Esther M. Yoder, Grantsville;
  David and wife Erma, Irwin, Ohio; Rachel and husband Monroe Yoder,
  Bronx, N.Y.; Miriam and husband Markel Maust, Accident, Md.; Joanna
  Miller, Grantsville; Ruth Miller Yoder, Grantsville; Dorcas and
  husband Glenn Lehman, Leola; Philip and friend Darlene Saladini,
  Baltimore, Md.; and Stephen and wife Joni, Grantsville.  She is
  survived by 22 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren, and two
  sisters: Myra Maust and Fannie Miller, both of Grantsville.
    The family is grateful to the Almighty God and Heavenly Father for
  the faith of the departed mother, grandmother and great-grandmother
  and for the long life she lived.  In the last weeks of her life, she
  expressed a readiness to depart this life to be with the Lord.
    Friends were received Monday and Tuesday.  Services were conducted
  at 10 a.m. Wednesday, at Maple Glen Conservative Mennonite Church
  with the Rev. Philip Moser and the Rev. Robert W. Yoder officiating.
  Friends could call at the church one hour prior to the services.
  Interment was in the church cemetery with the Rev. Ivan J. Maust
  officiating.
    Expressions of sympathy may be directed to the American Bible
  Society or The Fresh Air Fund.
    The family expresses appreciation to relatives, friends and church,
  for sympathies and assistance extended in this time of loss. The
  ministry of Garrett County Hospice was also appreciated.  Condolences
