Miller, 78, of 65 Linden Street, Frostburg, died Dec. 16, 1975, in Frostburg Community Hospital, where he had been a patient for two weeks. He had been in failing health for a year. Born in Markleton, he was a son of the late William H. and Myrtle (Peterson) Miller. A veteran of World War I, he was a member of Henry Hart Post 1411, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Cumberland. Surviving are his wife, the former Hazel Ward; two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Brode, Harrington, Del.; and Mrs. Edythe Smith, Cresaptown, Md., also eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two step great-grandchildren; two brothers, Delton C. Miller, Lincoln, Neb.; and Wayne H. Miller, Meyersdale; and three sisters, Mrs. Eva Compton of St. Paul, Mrs. Eleanor Meager and Mrs. Ethel Baker, both of Meyersdale. Funeral service was held Friday afternoon in Durst Funeral Home, Frostburg, with Rev. Doug Kuhn officiating. Interment in Sunset Memorial Park. Meyersdale Republic, December 25, 1975 [M1523]
