Miller, 49, of Hyndman, died Jan. 17, 1995 after being struck by a van while walking on the shoulder of State Route 96, just north of the Maryland line. Born March 15, 1945 in Wooster, Ohio, he was the son of Joni Miller and the late Fannie (Miller) Miller. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Danny Miller. He is survived by his father and stepmother, Joni and Martha Miller, Oakland, Md.; his wife, Miriam (Beachy) Miller; three sons: Harland Miller and wife Stephanie, Hyndman; Darrell Miller and wife Kristina, Fort Worth, Texas; and James Miller, Hyndman; four sisters: Betty Peachy, Thomas, Okla.; Barbara Nissley, Lancaster; Mattie Kauffman, Crooksville, Ohio; and Fannie Hostetler, Winfield, Pa.; six brothers: Edward Miller and Robert Miller, both of Grantsville, Md.; Andrew Miller, Sugarland, Texas; Roy Miller and Uriah Miller, both of Swanton, Md.; and Ivan Miller, New Columbia, Pa.; and one granddaughter, Gabrielle Miller. Rev. Miller was the pastor of the LaVale, Md., Christian Center. He was ordained by and was a member of the Lester Sumrall Evangelic Association/Feeding the Hungry. He was on the board of Calvary Evangelistic Missions in Nigeria, and a member of Tri-State for Jesus. A memorial service was held at the Maranatha Assembly of God Church, Grantsville, on Jan. 20 with the Rev. Kevin Ferguson of the Lester Sumrall Evangelic Association officiating.
