Miller, of Salisbury, died in the Windber Hospital on Sunday, Nov. 5, at about 7:45 p.m., of heart failure. Mrs. Miller had been in poor health for several years, and was taken to the Windber Hospital a few weeks ago for observation and treatment, and had been improving somewhat up to about Wednesday of last week, when she took a turn for the worse, rallied and became worse again on Saturday. She was born in Elk Lick Township on March 8, 1883, daughter of James and Louise (Miller) Maust, and was aged 61 years, 7 months and 27 days. Mrs. Miller is survived by her husband, two daughters, Elizabeth, wife of David Esworthy, Jr., and Lucille, both at home, and one son, Cpl. Daniel Miller, U.S. Air Corps, Roswell, N. Mex. She is also survived by two brothers, Edgar, Summit Township, and John, Salisbury. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Sourie M., and Lucy, and two brothers, Joseph and Cyrus. She became the wife of Norbert V. Miller in Elk Lick Township on June 7, 1914. She was a lifelong member of the Church of the Brethren, and faithful to her obligations to her church. She was a faithful worker for the Red Cross as long as she was able, and seemed to take much pleasure in her ability to help this worthy organization. Funeral services were conducted at her home on Grant Street on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. by her pastor, Rev. A. J. Replogle. Interment in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, with Mortician Stanley M.
