Miller, 81, of Race Street, Somerset, died Sept. 8, 1999 at home. Born Nov. 1, 1917 in Jefferson Township, son of Lloyd and Olive (Sleasman) Miller. Preceded in death by parents and sister Ethel Walker. Survived by wife of 53 years, Norma (Ankeny) Miller, son Barry, married to Patricia Tomko, Somerset and daughter Regina Miller, Sycamore. Also survived by grandchildren Barry Jr. and Jessica Miller and great-grandchildren Tyler and Kirklynd and Kierston Miller. Brother of Charles and George Miller, both of Somerset. World War II veteran of the U.S. Army. Retired employee of Poorbaugh Lumber Company. Member of First United Methodist Church in Somerset. Past commander of American Legion Post 81, Somerset, where he also served as chaplain. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at Miller Funeral Home, Somerset, where service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday. Rev. Patricia Nelson officiating.
