Miller, 38, of Indianhead, died Dec. 6, 1988, at his home. Born Nov. 29, 1950, in Somerset, a son of George W. and Mary Ellen (Swartz) Miller of Somerset RD 4. He was a graduate of Somerset Area High School in 1968 and of the National Hardwood Lumber Association Grading School. He was a lumber inspector for the Babcock Lumber Company in Champion for 17 years and was a former member of the U.S. Army Reserves. Member of Millertown Community Church where he was an elder and Sunday school teacher and former assistant Sunday school superintendent. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Karen J. Miller; three sons, Gary Jr., Matthew and Stephen, all at home; two brothers, Richard D. Miller, Rockwood RD 3; and Roger L., Windber; and paternal grandfather, Lloyd J. Miller, Somerset RD 4. Preceded in death by first wife, Patricia Ann (Gastley) Miller in 1976; an infant brother, David; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Swartz and Mrs. Olive Miller. Friends will be received at the Clyde Brooks Funeral Home, Inc., on Route 711 at Melcroft from 3-9 p.m. Wednesday (today), 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, and in the Millertown Community Church on Friday from noon until 1 p.m., the hour of service.
