  MILLER
  
  Gene E. Miller, 61, of Stoystown, died June 1, 1983, at Montefiore
  Hospital, Pittsburgh.  Born Dec. 27, 1921, in Shade Township, the son
  of Ruth (Lehman) Miller of Friedens RD 1 and the late Orville E.
  Miller.  Also preceded in death by brother, Guy.  Survived by his
  wife, the former Barbara Rodgers, who he married March 16, 1946;
  these sons: Dean, married to Lynn Craft of Warminster; Jerry of
  Seattle, Wash.; Dennis, married to Kathleen Wallace of US Navy, San
  Diego, Calif.; and one grandson, Gene Lee.  He was the brother of
  Carl K., Friedens RD 1; Glenn D., Somerset RD 2; Mrs. Lowell (Zeta)
  Thomas, Pittsburgh; and Mrs. H. James (Emma Catherine) Brant,
  Friedens RD 1.  Employed by Watkins Chevrolet of Boswell as body shop
  manager.  Member of Hooversville United Methodist Church and Robert P.
  Hite Post 257, American Legion.  He was a World War II Navy veteran. 
  Served eight years on Stoystown Borough Council and was on Autobody
  Shop Advisory Board at Somerset Vo-Tech.  Family received friends
  Thursday evening and will receive friends 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Friday,
  at the Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where services will be
  conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday by the Rev. J. Wesley Spahn. 
  Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
