MILLER Garrett County, Maryland George A. Miller, 83, retired farmer, died Sunday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John Kahl, near Accident, after a brief illness. He was the son of the late Philip and Catherine (Goeringer) Miller, and was a lifelong resident of Garrett County. Mr. Miller's wife, Anna Reese Miller, preceded him in death 43 years ago. One daughter also preceded him. Surviving are one son, Adam Miller, Oregon City, Oregon, and nine daughters, Mrs. Edwin Georg, Mrs. John Kahl, Mrs. Frank Georg, and Mrs. Lewis Harman, Accident, Md., Mrs. Albert Glass, Uniontown, Pa., Mrs. Jonas Kamp, Somerfield, Pa., Mrs. August Neil, Friendsville, Md., and Miss Rose Miller, Baltimore, and twenty-seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Also surviving are one sister, Mrs. Mary Nolte, Coal Run, Pa., and three brothers, Lewis Miller, Zanesville, Ohio, Melchoir Miller, Somerset, Pa., and Frank Miller, Salisbury, Pa. Funeral services, delayed until the deceased's son Adam arrives from Oregon, will be conducted Friday afternoon, at 2:30 o'clock, in the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, at Accident, of which Mr. Miller had been a member for many years. Rev. C. F. Dauphin, pastor, officiated. Interment was in the Accident Cemetery under the direction of William Winterberg, Grantsville mortician. Meyersdale Republican, August 6, 1942
