She was born March 17, 1918 in Scottsdale, a daughter of the late Jacob and Grace (Shaulis) Strohm. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Jack W. Miller. She is survived by two daughters, Trudy Jackson and Debby Talbott, both of Coper City, Fla.; a grandson, David Talbott of Charlottesville, Va. and a sister, LaRue Jordan of Granville, Mass. She graduated from Ramsey High School and the H.C. Frick School of Nursing in Mt. Pleasant. She was employed by and retired from Westmoreland Regional Hospital in 1983 as a Nursing Supervisor. She was a member of the American Nurses Association, the Pennsylvania Nurses Association and the Westmoreland County Nurses Association. She was also a member of the Zion's Lutheran Church in Greensburg where she was a member of Faith Circle and a member of the Westmoreland County Historical Society and Greensburg Chapter No. 281 O.E.S. Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Barnhart Funeral Home, 505 E. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg. Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in the Zion's Lutheran Church, South Pennsylvania Ave. at Second St., Greensburg with the Rev. Gene R. Stuckey Sr., officiating. Interment Westmoreland County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, should friends desire, memorials may be placed with either the Westmoreland Regional Hospital Foundation, 532 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg or with Zion's Lutheran Church, Greensburg. Members of Greensburg Chapter No. 281 O.E.S. will meet at the funeral home Monday at 7 p.m. to hold service.
