Miller, 73, of Roxbury Road, Berlin, died Aug. 25, 1998 at Meadow View Nursing Center, Berlin. Born Feb. 28, 1925 in Stonycreek Township, son of Jacob J. and Ida (Lambert) Miller. Preceded in death by parents, his wife, the former Betty J. Madigan, sister, Marian Weigle, and brother Glenn, nicknamed "Jerry" Miller. Survived by these children: Thomas I., of Woodbridge, Va., Ina, married to James Hay of Somerset, Iris, married to Richard Stutzman, and Cindy, married to Michael Snyder, both of Friedens; granddaughters, Christie Snyder and Jodi Lohr; brother of Anne Rayman, of Somerset, Marguerite Lauer of Shanksville, Lucille Maust of Virginia, Evelyn Vitangeli, Leah Cecil, Marlene Hochard, all of Ohio, Karl and Jay Miller, both of Berlin, also close friend, Terry Snider. He was retired from the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission and was a former Stonycreek Township dairy farmer. World War II Navy veteran, member of Roxbury United Church of Christ, American Legion, V.F.W. and Last Man's Club, all of Berlin. Charter member of Mountain Field and Stream Club. Family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday. Rev. Ralph G. Landis officiating. Interment Somerset County Memorial park. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society. Last Man's Club service will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday.
