Miller, 71, Hollsopple RD 2, died April 29, 1983, in Johnstown's Mercy Hospital. He was born May 15, 1911, in Hollsopple, son of Aaron and Fannie (Eash) Miller. He was preceded in death by parents; first wife, Christina Hershberger; sisters, Carrie Stern Thomas, Mamie Miller, Dora Spory, Lottie Hillhouse; brothers, John Blough and Albert and Minter Miller. He is survived by his wife, former Catherine Helsel; and Children: Duane and wife Rosemary (Bommarito) of Detroit, Michigan; Verle and wife Barbara (Saddler) of Leesburg, Fla.; Mrs. Elmer (Lorna) Weyand of Rockwood; Mrs. Alberta (Lila) Mader of Marysville; Mrs. Gene (Marilyn) Stubbe of Los Angeles, Calif.; Mrs. James (Rita) Smithson of Mechanicsburg; 26 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; step-children, David and Delbert McGarvey and Sally Truexel. He was the brother of Millie Naugle Folckemer. He was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church of Hollsopple. He retired in 1974 from U.S. Steel with 34 1/2 years of service. Friends were received at the George E. Mason Funeral Home, Davidsville, where prayer services were conducted by funeral services at the Bethel United Methodist Church by the Rev. Lawrence Raughley. Interment, Thomas Mennonite Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church building fund. The Republic, May 12, 1983 [M1646]
