Miller, 71, Waverly, Ohio, formerly of Rockwood, died Feb. 20, 1998, at Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe, Ohio. Born July 22, 1926, in Middlecreek Township, son of the late John C. and Amanda G. (Cramer) Miller. Preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Jesse Miller; and sisters Fannie Kuhlman, Irene Miller, and Mary Henry. Survived by his wife of 40 years, the former Joyce Beck; four brothers, Willet Miller and Benjamin Miller, both of Somerset, and Daniel Miller and Frank Miller, both of Rockwood; and sisters, Martha Lambert of Piketon, Ohio; and Barbara Leslie of Rockwood. World War II veteran of the U.S. Army. He had the privilege and high honor to serve as a member of the firing squad at Gen. George Patton's military graveside service. Attended Bethel Church of Christ, Christian Union, Ohio. Friends received at Wilbur D. Miller Funeral, Somerset from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Tuesday, where funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Brian Birkhimer officiating minister. Paul Baker eulogist.
