"Jim" Miller, 68, of Ligonier, died June 21, 2003 in the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Born June 26, 1934 in Somerset County, a son of the late Arthur S. and Ida May Arnold Miller. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Hazel Kerschsteiner and Thelma Miller, and a brother, Ray Miller. Survived by his devoted and loving wife of 39 years, Mary M. Burns Miller; daughter, Mrs. Richard (Nimi) Ohler of Somerset; three sons: Nick E. Miller of Ligonier, Timothy J. and his wife Stephanie Miller of Franklin, Tenn., and Matthew J. and his wife Jennifer Miller of Memphis, Tenn., six grandchildren; two sisters, Irene Faidley of Berlin and Helen Burrow of Great Falls, Mo.; and three brothers, Blaine, John and Glenn Miller, all of Meyersdale. Prior to his retirement in 1995, he had been employed by Dominion Peoples Gas in Greensburg for 29 years. Member of the Ligonier Church of Christ where he was also a lay minister and Sunday School teacher. Member of SEIU Local 666. He was an Air Force veteran. He was a kind and giving man and enjoyed helping others by participating with Habitat for Humanity. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the H. Paul McCracken Funeral Chapel, Inc., 144 East Main St., Ligonier. Service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Ligonier Church of Christ.
