She was in failing health for two weeks. Born Oct. 4, 1924, in Johnstown, a daughter of the late Ira and Mabelle (Spangler) Woodward. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson A. Miller, Aug. 23, 1991; and a brother, Donald Woodward. Survived by two sons, Larry D. Miller and wife, Sandra, Delaware, Ohio; and David N. Miller and wife, Patricia, The Woodlands, Texas; four grandchildren; a brother, William Woodward, Lambertsville; a sister, Alice, wife of Paul Ream, Friedens; and seven nephews and nieces. She resided in Delaware since October 2000 and previously lived in Bloomsburg for 47 years. She is a 1943 graduate of Stony Creek High School, Shanksville, where she was the homecoming queen. An active member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Bloomsburg for many years, she was currently attending St. Mark Lutheran Church, Delaware. At St. Matthew, she was a former Sunday school teacher and member of the Lutheran Church Women. Friends may call at the church parlor from noon until 1 p.m. A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 123 N. Market St., Bloomsburg. The Rev. Charles W. Coates officiating. Interment in Elan Memorial Park, Bloomsburg. The Dean W. Kriner Inc., Funeral Home, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg is in charge of the arrangements.
