(Bud) Miller, 67, Neville Island, Pittsburgh, died Aug. 4, 1986, at Sewickley Valley Hospital. Born Nov. 9, 1918, in Bakersville, son of late Roy C. and Iva (Maul) Miller. Preceded in death by wife, former Betty R. Bauman, who died in 1983. Survived by three daughters: Mrs. Janice K. Siegel, Monroeville; Mrs. Danielle L. Schoch, Neville Island; Mrs. Cathie C. Sunderman, Shadyside; five grandchildren; and three sisters: Mrs. Twyla Wagner, Berlin; Mrs. Mary Lou Walter, North Hills; and Mrs. Beulah Ogilvie, Riverside, Calif. Superintendent of maintenance at Gilmary Diocesan Center, Moon Township. World War II veteran, U.S. Navy. Member of National Association of Power Engineers and Loyal Order of Moose No. 6585, Coraopolis. Obtained stationary engineer degree. Certified power engineer since 1966. Received radio and TV diploma from National Radio Institute, Scranton. Attended Point Park College and Duffs Business College, Pittsburgh. Former VFW member of Post 402, Coraopolis. From 1954-67, he worked in Neville Island School District as custodian and maintenance person. Health certified as sewage and water works supervisor. In 1950s, involved with auxiliary police in Neville Island and Boy Scouts of America. Friends will be received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home, where service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday, the Rev. Roger Forry officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park. Daily American, August 6, 1986 [M1683]
