Mr. Miller came to Confluence from Bedford County when the Western Maryland Railroad was completed in 1919, as the first station agent and operator. He and his family belonged to the Methodist Church here, from which he never moved his letter although he lived in Rockwood for the last 25 years after he had been transferred there by the W. M. R. R. Surviving him are his wife, Besse (Walker) Miller; two daughters, Mrs. Virginia Coughenour of Baltimore, and Mrs. Kathryn Lephart of Greensburg, and four grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at two o'clock at the Evangelical Church with the Rev. J. M. Miller officiating, assisted by the Rev. C. W. Raley. Burial was made in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, under direction of morticians Mills and Mickey. Meyersdale Republican, June 24, 1948
