Irvin Miller, 91, 417 Walnut St., Berlin, died Feb. 22, 1986, in Meyersdale Community Hospital. Born Feb. 18, 1895, in Johnsburg, son of Tobias and Barbara (Aleman) Smith-Miller. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Abraham Smith, Henry Smith, Andrew Smith, Charles Smith and George Smith and sisters, Ella McQuade and Elizabeth Weimer. Survived by wife, former Alverda C. Schrock; and these children: Mrs. Joseph (Marian) Dyer, Robert I. Sr., Harry E., all of Wilmington, Del.; and Don A., Pittsburgh; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, also several nieces and nephews. Retired stone mason. Army veteran of World War I, where he served in Germany and Army of Occupation in France. Member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church; Harry Fisher Post 445, American Legion; Veterans of World War I of U.S.A., Barracks 3218, Somerset. Former member of Berlin Lodge 461 I.O.O.F. Friends were received Sunday evening at Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home, where service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday (today), the Rev. Kenneth S. Swanson. Interment, Berlin I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
