Miller, 78, Boswell, died unexpectedly Oct. 17, 2007, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Feb. 28, 1929, in Boswell, the son of James and Mary (Miller) Miller. Preceded in death by parents; infant son Jim; father and mother-in-law Elmer and Mamie Lines; and brothers-in-law, Frank, Edward, Joe, and Howard Lines. Survived by loving wife of 56 years, the former Kate Lines, to whom Jim was a wonderful husband and friend; sisters-in-law, Elsie Hemminger, Stoystown; and Dorothy Hemminger, Ashtabula, Ohio; special "daughter" Angie Moudy; special nephews, Larry, Bill and Tom Hemminger and Sonny Miller; and many special nieces and nephews from Ohio. James was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War, a retired employee of the former Bethlehem Steel Corp., with 32 years of service, and a member of the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was also a very good cook. A private interment will be held at the Jenner Crossroads Cemetery with military rites by the Somerset County Honor Guard. A public memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, November 10 at the Jenner Grace Brethren Church, Jenners. The Rev. Shawn M. Ostrander officiating.
