Miller, 73, of Somerset RD 3, died Aug. 9, 1993, at Somerset Hospital. Born May 14, 1920, in Jefferson Township, Somerset County, son of Nettie Grace (Barndt) Miller of Somerset and the late Ray J. Miller. Survived by his wife, Helen (Gross) Miller; one son, Reed J., married to the former Patricia Shaulis, Somerset; two grandsons: Jeffrey and James, and these brothers and sisters: Mrs. Frank (Dorothy) Lease, Stow, Ohio; Mrs. John (Wiladene) Shumaker, Olympia, Wash.; Mrs. Jack (Ruth) O'Baker, Somerset; Robert, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; J. Miller, Ralphton; Jack (Evelyn) Miller, Kimmelton; William (Trella) Miller, Somerset RD 3; Dale (Dorothy) Miller; Quecreek; Donald F. (Dorothy) Miller, Somerset RD 3. Member of Bethany United Methodist Church. Veteran of World War II. His death ended a marriage union of 52 years, celebrated May 5, 1993. Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday (today) and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home. Funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Bethany Church, Rev. John R. Guerre officiating. Interment, church cemetery. Body will lie in state in the church from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service.
