(Zinn) 04/03/07 Daily American Janet E. (Zinn) Miller, 73, Jerome, died April 1, 2007, at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born Aug. 8, 1933, in Morgantown, W.Va., daughter of Junior and Manona (Coleman) Zinn. Preceded in death by parents; granddaughter, Megan Hoffman; brothers, Bernard and Dale Zinn; and sisters, June Holick and Lorraine Cook. Survived by husband of nearly 40 years, Harry J. Miller; children, Joseph Hoffman, married to the former Denise Sebring, Boswell; Richard Hoffman, married to the former Kathy Lambert, Hollsopple; Laura (Hoffman), married to Richard Boncoski, Jerome; John Hoffman, married to the former Cindy Cook, Hollsopple; Willard Hoffman, married to the former Angie Panasci, Hyasota; and David Hoffman, married to the former Barb Parker, Asheboro, N.C.; 17 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, Eldon Zinn, and wife, Arlene, Everett, and Kenneth Zinn, and wife, Linda, Johnstown; stepson, Jerry Miller, married to the former Bonnie Wagner, Hollsopple; and one stepgrandson. A graduate of Conemaugh Township Area High School and the University of San Diego. Former seamstress for several local garment factories. While living in San Diego, Janet was a business agent for Amalgamated Clothing Workers Union. After returning to Jerome, she was a counselor for the Women's Help Center in Johnstown. A member of Maple Spring Church of the Brethren, near Jerome, where she was a member and past president of the women's fellowship and enjoyed quilting with the Ladies Aid. A viewing from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville. Viewing also from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 10 a.m. Thursday at Maple Spring church. The Rev. Robert Thacker and the Rev. William Wenger officiating. Interment, Maple Spring Cemetery.
