JOHN C. MILLER

  John Calvin Miller, 77, died last Sunday evening at the home of his daughter, 
Mrs. Bertha Shaulis, Somerset, R.D. 1.  He was a son of the late Jonathan and 
Lydia Miller.
  He was employed for many years by the Consolidated Coal Company at Wilson 
Creek.  His wife, the former Susan Egolf, died 19 years ago.  Surviving are 
these children: Clyde Miller and Mrs. Bertha Shaulis, Somerset R.D. 1; Clarence, 
Baltimore, Md.; Mrs. Gerald Oester, Indiana, Mrs. Harry Mullin, Gray.  He also 
leaves nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.  Three of his 
grandchildren are serving in the armed forces.  He was a brother of Jacob of 
Rockwood; David, Somerset R.D. 2; Harry, Somerset, and Mrs. Ophelia Sterner, 
Rockwood.
  Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon by Rev. J. 
I. Kalp, pastor of the Kingwood Church of God.  Interment in the Rockwood Odd 
Fellows Cemetery.
