He was born Feb. 2, 1910 at Johnstown, a son of the late Charles C. and Jennie J. (Brendle) Miller. On Sept. 1, 1931 at Cumberland, Md., he married the former Helen R. Miller. She survives, along with three daughters, Anna L., wife of Harold A. Miller of Buffalo Mills RD; Yvonne R., wife of Ivan L. Wentz of New Paris RD 2; and Elaine K., wife of Earl E. Shroyer of Hyndman RD. Also surviving are five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-granddaughters; a brother, Robert C. Miller of Buffalo Mills RD; two sisters, Geraldine M. Lehman of Buffalo Mills RD, and Betty J. Diehl of Stoystown RD; and a foster brother, Donald O. Corley of Everett. He was preceded in death by a grandson, James D. Miller. Mr. Miller had hauled milk for the Meadow Gold Dairy of Berlin for 38 years and had retired from Snyder's of Berlin. He was a member of the Hyndman Senior Citizens and Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church where he served as trustee for many years. Funeral services at 11 a.m. Monday at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman, with the Rev. Donald R. Henderson officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Daily American, January 10, 1998 [M1726]
