  John L. Miller, 79, 315 Hower Ave., Boswell, died Sept. 23, 1979, at
  Lee Hospital, Johnstown.  Born Aug. 19, 1900, in Windber, son of Paul
  and Mary (Verost) Miller.  Preceded in death by parents; wife, former
  Helen Nymick, who died Mar. 23, 1966; one son, Joseph, who died in
  1937; one sister, Mrs. Mary Baker; and three brothers: George, Paul
  and Joseph.  Survived by these children: John R., married to the
  former Bernice Lintz of Jenners; Walter A., at home; Dorothy J. and
  Barbara A., wife of Donald Matsko, both of Boswell; Eugene S.,
  married to the former Sarah Bennett, Atlanta, Ga.; Richard M.,
  married to the former Barbara Stroko, Vienna, Va.; 12 grandchildren,
  one great-grandson.  Brother of: Mrs. Elizabeth Dedik, Mrs. Catherine
  Ozag, and Mrs. Susan Kudasik, all of Boswell; Mrs. Margaret Vish, Mrs.
  Pauline Poznanski, both of Detroit; and Charles, Fort Ashly, W.Va. 
  Member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Boswell, UMW of A, Local
  998, Tire Hill.  Friends received from 7-9 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m. to
  9 p.m. Tuesday at Joseph G. Hoffman Funeral Home, 409 Main St.,
  Boswell, where wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.  Mass
  of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Wednesday, St. Stanislaus Church,
  Boswell, the Rev. Manuel Wolkonowski OFM Conv. officiating. 
  Interment, Church Cemetery.
